School Delays & Closings

When it is necessary to close school or cancel after school events, due to a snowstorm or treacherous road conditions, an announcement will be made on the following local television and radio stations:

Television      Stations
WPTZ - Channel 5
WCAX - Channel 3

Radio           Stations
WOKO - 98.9 FM
WKOL - 105.1 FM
WJOY - 1230 AM
WIRY - 1340 AM

Please listen to one of the above stations and do not call the school or the radio station. It is important that we keep our telephone lines open during busy, decision-making times. If you do not hear Beekmantown Central School District mentioned on one of the above stations, you should assume that school is open for the day.

School Closing Email Notification
In an effort to keep parents and guardians apprised of school updates, closings and cancellations, we have setup an email system to notify parents and guardians of these occurrences. If you would like an email notification, you will need to visit this link to sign up for notification.
E-News is a service that allows parents, students, faculty/staff and community members to sign up to receive e-mails on school related information listed below.

E-News makes it easier than ever for you to stay in touch with important news and events in your schools. With e-News, you automatically receive news of interest to you at your selected e-mail address and/or cell phone via SMS text messages.

Even better, e-News is an opt-in service for residents and parent households. You tailor the service to meet your needs by selecting only the categories of information that are of interest to you. These categories are listed under "Subscribe Me To These Lists" seen below.

Also, you may opt-out of e-News, or change e-News categories, at any time, just by revising your information at this site.

We hope you will join us on e-News! Just complete the simple steps below.

Note: some cellular phone carriers levy an additional charge for text messages if not part of the existing pricing plan. If you choose to receive SMS messages, you are responsible for any and all charges from your carrier. Please check with your cellular provider if you have any questions about billing.
